Connecting people living with EGFR+ lung cancer

At EGFR Positive UK, we are lucky to have a strong sense of community. We began connecting members of our group through online Zoom meetings, and it quickly became clear that people with EGFR+ lung cancer found it hugely beneficial to meet others in a similar position. Monthly online meetings still continue, but we also have a group of dedicated Regional Ambassadors who organise local face-to-face meetups in fifteen locations across the UK.

Members have described the value of meeting in person to connect with like-minded people, share experiences and support one another. Our Regional Ambassadors organise, facilitate and host ‘Meet and Chat’ sessions throughout the year, and people living with EGFR+ lung cancer and their loved ones are very welcome to attend. Activities can include morning coffee, lunch or evening socials, and EGFR+ UK subsidises these events.
