EGFR+ UK: 1st LuCE AGM – The Power of Collaboration
Soumitra Bose with out-going Lung Cancer Europe President Dr, Anne-Marie Baird
We’re proud to share that EGFR Positive UK attended its first AGM as a member of Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE) — a big milestone for our charity! The meetings followed by interactive sessions were held in Berlin on 11-12th April 2025.
The experience reinforced one powerful message: collaboration across Europe is essential as we jointly fight lung cancer. Working together, we can drive bigger, faster, and more meaningful change for our community.
✨ Highlights from the Meeting:
· Financials and Budget: The business end of the meeting.
· Leadership Updates: Congratulations to Debra Montague from ALK UK, now elected as LuCE President!
· Access to Treatment Atlas: A major new tool was launched mapping lung cancer treatments by country — empowering advocacy across Europe.
· AI in Advocacy: Exciting session showing how digital tools like ChatGPT can revolutionise outreach — a game-changer for small charities like ours!
· Shared Best Practices: From new MRI protocols to mental health and exercise resources, collaboration is opening doors for practical improvements in patient care.
· Opportunities for Members: Sessions on managing “chemo brain” and mental well-being are ready for us to bring to our UK community.
Together, we are stronger
By connecting across Europe, EGFR Positive UK is better equipped to support our members, advocate for better treatments, and drive real change in lung cancer care.
